Fasten your seatbelts, cricket fanatics! The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is back, bigger and bolder than ever before! What began as a dream in 2023 has rapidly transformed into a cricketing revolution, captivating audiences worldwide and unearthing phenomenal talent.
From the inaugural edition where Harmanpreet Kaur’s Mumbai Indians etched their names in history by being crowned as the inaugural champions of the tournament to Smriti Mandhana’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru breaking their trophy duck in a dramatic 2024 season, the WPL has already delivered unforgettable moments.
The Delhi Capitals led by skipper Meg Lanning have been on the receiving end on both occasions of their heart-breaking, runners-up finish in the tournament. As we gear up for WPL 2025, the burning question is: who will rise to the occasion and claim the coveted crown this year? Will the Mumbai Indians reclaim their throne? Can RCB continue their winning momentum? Or will Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz, or Gujarat Giants finally have their moment of glory? Only time will provide us with an answer.
