The Hallyburton Johnstone Shield (HJS) is a 50-over domestic tournament in New Zealand, where the regional rivalry is at its best. A total of six teams, namely, Auckland Hearts, Canterbury Magicians, Central Hinds, Northern Brave, Otago Sparks, and Wellington Blaze participated in the ongoing edition of the tournament.
The two finalists of the tournament, Auckland Hearts and Otago Sparks, form the heart of the 2024-25 Hallyburton Johnstone Shield XI with as many as seven players, and the rest of the four players are from Central Hinds (3) and Caitlin Gurrey is the only player to represent Northern Brave as the Team of the Tournament is revealed ahead of the grand finale on 1st March 2025 (Saturday).

Caitlin Gurrey (Northern Brave)
The 29-year-old batter is the only player to represent Northern Brave in the Team of the Tournament. She earned her spot in the side on the back of a remarkable outing in the ongoing edition of the tournament, with 523 runs at an impressive average of 52.30, ending the season as the leading run-scorer for her side and the 2nd highest run-scorer of the tournament. She will be opening the innings in this lineup alongside Saachi Shahri from Auckland Hearts.
Saachi Shahri (Auckland Hearts)
The 27-year-old batter is representing the Maddy Green-led Auckland Hearts, a side that has a major share of players with as many as four teammates, including their skipper Maddy Green named in the Team of the Tournament. Rightly so as they are one of the finalists of the ongoing edition of the tournament. Saachi Shahri is currently the 2nd highest run-scorer for her side and the fourth highest run-scorer of the tournament with 367 runs at an impressive average of 52.43 for her side so far in the tournament. She will be the opening partner of Caitlin Gurrey in this line-up.
Bella James (Otago Sparks)
The young 26-year-old wicket-keeper batter represents the Otago Sparks in the ongoing edition of the tournament. She is currently the 2nd highest run-scorer for her side and the 6th highest run-scorer of the tournament with 332 runs at an average of 47.43 for her side so far. The Sparks led by skipper Felicity Leydon-Davis are one of the finalists in the ongoing edition of the tournament. She will come in at number three in this lineup.
Felicity Robertson (Otago Sparks)
Robertson, representing Otago Sparks, is currently the leading run-scorer for her side and the fifth-highest run-scorer of the tournament with 345 runs at an average of 43.13 for her side so far. They are one of the finalists of the season and she has one more opportunity to add to her tally of runs and make her side win the competition. She will be coming in at number four in this lineup of the tournament.
Maddy Green (C) (Auckland Hearts)
The veteran 32-year-old batting all-rounder is the skipper of the Auckland Hearts and has been leading from the front as a leader for her side. She has not only topped the run-scoring charts of the tournament with 572 runs with the bat at a sensational average of 63.56 for her side, but she has also picked up one wicket with the ball for her side in the tournament so far. Her tally of runs includes three half-centuries and a couple of centuries to her name, playing her pivotal role in helping her side book their spot for the title clash in the ongoing edition of the tournament. She has one more game to make an impact this season. She will come in at number five in this line-up. Izzy Gaze (Auckland Hearts)
The young 20-year-old wicket-keeper batter represents the Auckland Hearts and has had an impressive campaign in the ongoing edition of the tournament, as she is currently the 4th highest run-scorer for her side with 257 runs at an average of 28.56 for her side in the tournament so far, with a crucial game to go. She will play an important role, if they are to clinch the title this year. She will come in at number six in this lineup of the tournament.
Hannah Rowe (Central Hinds)

Besides her exploits with the ball, she has also returned with 266 runs at a decent average of 33.25 with the bat, ending as the 3rd highest run-scorer for her side in the tournament. She will come in at number eight in this lineup of the season.
Eden Carson (Otago Sparks)
Eden Carson is one of the most promising rising stars for the White Ferns. She represents Otago Sparks and has played a crucial role in helping her side book their spot in the title clash this season. She is currently the joint highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 20 wickets alongside Ocean Bartlett from the Central Hinds. She has an impressive average of 15.85 and an economy of 3.52 with the ball for her side so far in the tournament. Besides her exploits with the ball, she has also scored 61 runs with the bat for her side so far in the tournament, proving her all-round capabilities. She will play a crucial role for her side in the final as a lead spinner. She will come in at number nine in this lineup.
Ocean Bartlett (Central Hinds)
The 21-year-old bowling all-rounder Ocean Bartlett has earned a call-up to the senior White Ferns side for their upcoming white-ball home series against Sri Lanka. She represented Central Hinds in the ongoing edition of the tournament. She ended the season as the highest wicket-taker for her side and the joint-highest wicket-taker of the tournament alongside Eden Carson from Otago Sparks, with 20 wickets to her name at an average of 19.75 and an impressive economy of 4.94 with the ball for her side in the tournament. She will come in at number 10 in this line-up.
Bree Illing (Auckland Hearts)
The 21-year-old youngster is another one to have earned her call-up for the senior White Ferns squad for their upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka. She is representing Auckland Hearts in the ongoing season. She is currently leading wicket-taker for her side and the 2nd highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 19 wickets to her name at an average of 21.11 and an economy of 4.54 with the ball for her side. She has one more game to add to her tally of wickets for the season and is definitely poised to play an impactful role for her side in the final on 1st March 2025 (Saturday) against the Otago Sparks.
