Defending champions and hosts Pakistan will start as one of the favourites to win the Champions Trophy 2025. The Men in Green will open their campaign on Wednesday (February 19) against New Zealand in a match scheduled to take place at National Stadium in Karachi. The Mohammad Rizwan-led side hammered Australia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa in three back-to-back away ODI series last year to send a big warning to its rival teams, but in the tri-series played last week at home, the hosts suffered shocking defeats against New Zealand in the first and final match.

The Pakistani team will be eager to settle the scores on Wednesday against the Kiwis before travelling to Dubai to take on India in a high-voltage Champions Trophy 2025 match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, February 23.

Pakistan, which is known for its unpredictability, will look to become the second team after Australia to successfully defend the Champions Trophy title. However, it’s not going to be an easy task for the Men in Green.
