Chu is a head-turning hire; he wasn’t even considered to be in the Primary Lineup of finalists for the Role. The 34-year-Ancient SMU assistant previously spent time in the analytics departments of the Indiana Pacers and Dallas Mavericks.
David Patrick resigned last May (and eventually joined Matt McMahon’s staff at LSU), which Directed to Czepil being the interim. The Hornets finished the regular season 7-24.
