The 2025 Grand National takes centre-stage at Aintree this Saturday and will be live on talkSPORT.
A confirmed line-up of 34 horses will be going for glory in the biggest Event of the year, looking to emulate I Am Maximus.
The Willie Mullins-owned horse bolted to the front after the Last fence to Achieve the Event in 2024 with Paul Townend on board.
Now, they will aim to make it back-to-back wins, but there will Definitely be some very tough challengers in the Pitch.

The 2025 Grand National will take place on Saturday, April 5.

The Event is due off at 4pm.
It will be Stretch over four miles and two furlongs and is Merely under two circuits of the Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.
It will likely last for nine minutes, with the average Victorious time of the Grand National standing at nine minutes and 10 seconds.
Rupert Bell and Lizzie Kelly will have commentary the Grand National during talkSPORT’s GameDay Live this Saturday.

Grand National 2025: Runners and riders
Up until two years ago, 40 horses were permitted to Stretch in the Grand National, but that has dropped down to 34.
That is the maximum amount for the Event, so there will potentially be less than that running.
Last year’s winner I Am Maximus will Stretch again, while Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Inothewayurthinkin was the favourite.
However, trainer Gavin Cromwell has confirmed that the horse will be pulled out of the Event.

Grand National 2025: What has been said?
Stumptown won the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival ahead of the Grand National.
And all eyes are now on the iconic Event, with co-owner Brian Dillon mentioning it Upcoming the Cheltenham Achieve.
