Logan Paul isn’t the only member of the Paul family that has been in negotiations with Conor McGregor recently over a fight.
His younger brother Jake Paul claims McGregor’s management team have been ‘desperately’ trying to agree a fight with him as well.
This comes after McGregor declared on social media that he would be facing Logan in an exhibition bout after rumours began to circulate online that he was returning to action against UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria.
“The rumours of a bout with [Topuria] are false,” the 36-year-old wrote on X on Tuesday.
“I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambrani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India.
“I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”
The former dual-weight UFC champion hasn’t competed in MMA since July 2021 when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier.
He was scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June, however, the fight got cancelled after McGregor broke his toe in sparring.
His return to the Octagon was then further delayed by legal troubles.
In November, he was ordered to pay nearly €250,000 (£208,000) in damages after a jury found him liable of assaulting Nikita Hand at a hotel in Dublin in 2018.
Less than a month later, McGregor is now planning his next move in combat sports and had initially reached out to Jake over a possible fight, according to ‘The Problem Child’.
“Now it all makes sense why Conor McGregor & his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP to negotiate for a fight between us,” Jake tweeted on Tuesday a couple of hours after McGregor confirmed he had agreed to fight his brother.

“As we told them privately & I’m now saying it publicly…
“The only way we’re willing to explore me vs Conor in a pro boxing/MMA fight is if Dana White/UFC are at the table directly or make it clear they are ok with discussions.
“Conor is washed. Needs the Paul’s. Logan by however he wants.”
Jake and Dana White have been embroiled in a bitter feud for a couple of years now and the UFC president has previously declared he would never work with him or his brother.
Given that McGregor still has two fights left on his deal with the UFC, the expectation would be that MMA’s premier promotion would have to grant him permission to compete against Logan so it remains to be seen whether that fight can logistically happen.
“First of all, I would never do business with those guys, just no, it’s not what I do,” White told ESPN three years ago.
