Man Utd vs Arsenal predictions
Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United sit 14th in the Premier League table with 33 points from 27 matches.
It’s incredible to think that only one point and two teams sit between United and the Premier League’s bottom four teams, who, luckily for Ruben Amorim, are 11 points behind the struggling Red Devils.
United have shown some fight in their last two Premier League fixtures. The Red Devils fought back from 2-0 down to get a draw against an in-form Everton at Goodison Park on Matchday 26.
They then fought back from a goal down to beat Ipswich 3-2 at Old Trafford on Matchday 27, after having played over half the match with ten men.
United celebrated the win over Ipswich like they had just achieved something really special. Yes, it was a great effort to get the win with ten men, but it summed up how far the Red Devils have fallen when they are celebrating a home win over a team on their way back to the Championship at the first time of asking.
In typical United fashion they followed their Ipswich heroics up with a poor home performance against Fulham in the FA Cup on Sunday. United’s penalty shootout defeat was a meek way to give up their defence of a trophy that Erik ten Hag did well to win.
The Red Devils then produced a spirited performance in Spain on Thursday, holding Real Sociedad to a 1-1 draw in the first round of their Europa League Round of 16 tie.
Arsenal fans must despair at the performances of their team.
After putting five past Manchester City on Matchday 24, the Gunners drew a blank at Newcastle in the Carabao Cup. They then needed two late goals to beat Leicester City in the Premier League, and followed that up with two blanks against West Ham and Nottingham Forest.
So what do they do next? They went to Eindhoven in the Champions League and put seven past PSV in their Round of 16 tie.
PSV may be struggling domestically. But this is the same PSV that beat Juventus 3-1 in the second leg of the playoffs to qualify for the Round of 16. And it was a well deserved win.
How can anyone make any sense of those stats?
Arsenal has scored 14 goals in their last six matches. 12 of the goals came in two fixtures. No wonder fans are losing their heads, with some even calling for Arteta to go.
The Champions League is realistically all that Arsenal have left to play for this season. With 54 points from 27 matches, the Gunners sit second in the Premier League, but they started the match week 13 points behind Liverpool.
The Gunners aren’t even putting Arne Slot’s team under any sort of pressure.
Man Utd vs Arsenal betting tips
It’s usually Manchester United that are accused by being inconsistent, but that same accusation can now be levelled at Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal after their recent performances:
Arsenal to win
On paper this looks like a win for Arsenal. But, as we have seen at times, United can really be up for these big matches.
On the flip side, Liverpool and Spurs (yes, even Tottenham Hotspur) have gone to Old Trafford and rolled United over with ease this season.

Despite the unwavering support of the fans, playing at the Theatre of Dreams does seem to be a burden for this group of players under Ruben Amorim.
Even the win over Ipswich was far from easy and had it been a stronger team than the Championship bound Tractor Boys, we’re pretty certain United wouldn’t have won.
A bet on Arsenal is the obvious choice.

Bruno Fernandes to score or be shown a card
Some say he’s part of the problem, others wonder just where United would be without him. Whatever your view on Bruno Fernandes, he always seems to be involved in something when United play.
The United captain picked up a booking against Sociedad on Thursday, and he scored in his team’s 1-1 draw with Fulham in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Fernandes has also picked up a goal, an assist and a yellow card in his team’s last four Premier League matches. He is at the forefront of everything United are doing at the moment.

Arsenal to score over 1.5 goals
In case you haven’t heard, Arsenal need a striker.
They may have scored five against Manchester City and seven against PSV, but it is true that they lack a striker who can make the difference in a tight match, turning a 0-0 draw into a 1-0 win.
The sort of player who wins you a league title.
As Arsenal don’t have an obvious goal scorer, rather than look for a player to back to score, we have instead gone for a team bet.
Five different players were on the scoresheet against Manchester City, and there were six different scorers against PSV.
If Arsenal turn up with their shooting boots on, there is a good chance they will score more than one at Old Trafford.
