Stopping all 30 shots he faced in the blue paint against Seattle, net-minder Linus Ullmark registered his third shutout of the season. The offseason acquisition seems to be paying off now as the Swede has won his last six starts posting a .970 save percentage.
Tim Stutzle halted his two-game pointless run, scoring against the Kraken on Tuesday. The 22-year-old now has 11 goals and 37 points through 31 outings this year.
Brady Tkachuk, then Senators leading goal-getter with 15 was left off the scoresheet against Seattle. The Sens’ captain has struggled to put consecutive games together finding the back of the net, only scoring in back-to-back instances on four occasions.
Extending his goal-scoring streak to four, Nazem Kadri is heating up in December. The 34-year-old has amassed 103 total shots while averaging 18 minutes and chance per game. In 32 appearances, Kadri has accumulated 21 points.
Kadri’s new line-mate, Jonathan Huberdeau seems to have found some chemistry on the top line. The Centerman currently leads the Flames in the points department with 22. In December the 31-year-old has cataloged three goals and five assists.

This encounter sees two teams going in opposite directions with the Senators carrying the momentum into Thursday night. These two opponents have already squared off this season and saw Ottawa win 4-3 in their previous tilt. Despite the Senators looking like the more appealing team to wager on, we feel this is a bounce-back opportunity for Calgary.
The Flames have had success against Ottawa at the Dome historically, winning 14 of the previous 20 clashes. Calgary played their best hockey in front of the C of Red this year compiling an 11-4-2 record. The Flames blew a two-goal third-period lead on home ice against boston, we expect them to come out as the hungrier side in this affair. The Flames have only suffered consecutive defeats on home ice once so far this season, we feel again Calgary will respond with a two-point effort on Thursday.
