Premier League Darts Night 4 LIVE: Schedule, format and how to follow as Luke Littler looks to bounce back from shock defeat

Luke Littler will look to bounce back on night four of the Premier League Darts later this week, live on talkSPORT 2.

Littler was stunned by Gerwyn Price in their quarter-final at the start of the night, with the Iceman taking a 6-4 victory and then going on to win the whole night.

The 18-year-old is the defending champion after beating Luke Humphries in the final in 2024.

However, Littler has only won one of the three nights so far, with Humphries claiming glory on the opening night in Belfast.

And as the Premier League heads to England for the first time this year, the tournament is wide open.

Premier League Darts Night 4: How to follow

Night 4 of the 2025 tournament will take place on Thursday, February 27.

It is being held at the Westpoint Arena, Exeter, from 7pm – with the first throw set to be at 7:15pm.

Premier League Darts Night 4: Format

Each night of the competition will stage an eight-player knockout tournament, with all seven games played over the best of 11 legs.

Players will receive five points per final win, three points per runner-up finish, and two per semi-final finish.

The top four in the table will contest two knockout semi-finals at the end of the first 15 weeks before a final will crown the overall winner.

The format on Premier League Finals Night is slightly different with a best of 19 legs in the semis, and the final being a best of 21 legs. 

The first thrower in the semi-finals is decided by standings in the Premier League. 

For the final, players will have a bull-off in the practice room to decide the first thrower.

Premier League Darts 2025: Prize money

The total prize pot for the Premier League this year is £1million.

The four to reach Finals Night are guaranteed at least £85,000. 

That is the prize for the two losing semi-finalists while the winner and runner-up get more. 

Second place will receive £125,000 while the winner gets a whopping £275,000. 

For those who haven’t reached Finals Night, their prize money decreases per position with 5th place £75,000, 6th place £70,000, 7th place £65,000, and 8th place £60,000.

Each winner of the 16 nights of the Premier League will receive an additional £10,000 bonus.

Premier League Darts Night 3: What has been said?

The Professional Darts Corporation has threatened to remove unruly darts fans following criticism from Littler during night two.

A statement read: “Following Thursday’s Premier League Darts night in Glasgow, the PDC wishes to strongly reiterate that it does not condone any behaviour which can disrupt an event, such as whistling or booing when players are throwing.

“Every player goes on stage with the intention of performing to the best of their ability and providing an entertaining spectacle for all fans, whether in the venue or watching worldwide.

“As per the terms and conditions of entry to events, spectators who act inappropriately can be removed from the venue.”

The PDC also threatened to take ‘proactive and decisive action’ for those who ‘behave inappropriately’.

They added: “The PDC works closely with Premier League venues, who have responsibility for crowd control, to take proactive and decisive action against those who behave inappropriately.

“The vast majority of fans who attend our sell-out events on a regular basis also condemn this behaviour and we will continue to promote a positive atmosphere which gives all players the opportunity to play to the best of their ability in every match.”

Speaking after his win, Littler was asked about the persistent whistling and expressed his frustration with the crowd’s interference.

He said: “There were a few in particular that were doing it when Luke [Humphries] was throwing.

“Kirk [Bevins, the referee] told them to be quiet and it made it even worse.

“I missed doubles, Luke breaks at 5-4. I’m just like ‘Kirk you’ve made it even worse for me, I’m 5-4 down.’ But I broke back and held my throw again.”
