Biography: Shahid Khan Afridi, more commonly referred to as Lala or Boom Boom Afridi, is a former cricketer from Pakistan. He was born on March 1, 1977, in Khyber Agency, which is part of Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
Afridi began playing cricket when he was just 16 years old, making his debut for the Pakistani team in 1996. His aggressive and entertaining playing style, which included hitting big sixes and taking wickets with his leg-spin bowling, quickly earned him a reputation.
Over the course of more than two decades, Afridi played international cricket in all three formats. He captained the Pakistan team for a time and was a member of the team that won the ICC World Twenty20 in 2009. He played in 27 Test matches, 398 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and 99 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) before retiring from international cricket in 2018.
In his career, Afridi took 395 wickets with his leg-spin bowling and scored 8,064 runs in one-day internationals, including 39 half-centuries and six centuries. He took 98 wickets and scored 1,416 runs in T20Is. With 476 in total, he holds the record for hitting the most sixes in international cricket.
In addition to his cricketing career, Afridi is well-known for the charitable work he does through his Shahid Afridi Foundation, which focuses on providing facilities for education and healthcare to Pakistan’s underprivileged communities.

Shahid Afridi Family
Sahibzada Fazal-ur-Rehman Afridi and Shahida Afridi were his parents, and he was raised in a Pashtun family. The youngest of seven siblings is Afridi.
Aqsa, Ansha, Ajwa, Asmara and Arwa are the Five daughters of Afridi and Nadia Afridi, whom he wed in 2000.
