TOSS – Afghanistan have won the toss and ELECTED TO BOWL!
Zimbabwe’s problem has been their middle order! They really need the likes of Raza, Burl and Wessly Madhevere to get some runs. The top order has performed decently but it is the middle order which needs to step up and if that happens, they’ll surely be in with a good chance. Can they upset the odds here?
The introduction of Darwish Rasooli came in handy as he played a fine knock for his side to take them to a decent score in the last game. The question is, will we see the visitors play an extra spinner this time around? Will we see Noor Ahmad get a chance in place of a seamer? Usually teams don’t change their winning combination but we will have to wait to find out.
It is time for the decider! The series is level at 1-1 with the hosts taking the first one and visitors bouncing back strongly in the second. Afghanistan are surely favourites to win the series but we have seen Zimbabwe causing upsets in the past. It has been quite a good contest between bat and ball so far in the first two games and we expect nothing less here.
The third T20 match between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan promises to be a thrilling decider, with the series tied at one match each. Afghanistan, buoyed by their recent victory, will rely on a strong bowling attack led by Naveen-ul-Haq and Mujeeb Ur Rahman to secure early wickets. Rashid Khan is expected to excel in the middle overs, supported by Mohammad Nabi and Fareed Ahmad Malik. On the batting front, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sediqullah Atal must provide a solid start, while Darwish Rasooli aims to build on his last performance in the middle order. The depth of the lower order, featuring Khan and Nabi, will be crucial for accelerating the innings. For Zimbabwe, this match is a chance to achieve a rare series win against Afghanistan. Skipper Sikandar Raza will look for a strong batting performance, with Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani setting the tone at the top. Dion Myers, Raza, and Wesley Madhevere must forge vital partnerships to keep the innings flowing. Zimbabwe’s bowlers, Richard Ngarava and Blessing Muzarabani, will seek to exploit the conditions early, while Wellington Masakadza and Trevor Gwandu will aim to control the middle overs. With both teams eager to clinch the series, fans can expect an intense and competitive match filled with excitement.
